Can I pre-order mangoes before the season starts?

Varieties
Which mango variety is the sweetest?
Sindhri and White Chaunsa Nawab Puri are both rated 10/10 for sweetness. Sindhri has a honey-like, smooth sweetness, while Nawab Puri has a deeper, almost caramel-like concentrated sweetness. If you want pure sweetness with no tang at all, go with Sindhri. If you prefer rich, complex sweetness, choose Nawab Puri.
What is the difference between White Chaunsa Mosami and Nawab Puri?
Both are White Chaunsa varieties but differ in timing and flavor. Mosami arrives in July (mid-season) with a delicate, floral sweetness and silky texture. Nawab Puri comes in August (late season) with a richer, more intense, almost caramel-like sweetness and denser flesh. Many consider Nawab Puri the superior variety, though both are exceptional.
Which mango variety is best for smoothies and milkshakes?
Sindhri is the best choice for smoothies and milkshakes due to its large size, intense sweetness, virtually zero fiber, and smooth butter-like texture. It blends perfectly without any stringy bits. Langra is also excellent for mango lassi due to its tangy-sweet flavor that complements yogurt beautifully.
What makes Anwar Ratol so special and expensive?
Anwar Ratol is considered the most aromatic mango variety in Pakistan. Despite being small (150-250g), it delivers the most intense, complex flavor — a perfect balance of sweetness and subtle tang with ultra-creamy, fiberless flesh. Its high price comes from shorter season, lower yield per tree, extreme demand exceeding supply, and shorter shelf life that makes it rarer.
Which variety should I try first if I have never had Pakistani mangoes?
We recommend starting with Sindhri — it is the most universally loved variety with no tang, pure sweetness, large size, and stunning visual appeal. It is the perfect introduction to Pakistani mangoes. Once you have tried Sindhri, graduate to Anwar Ratol for the most intense flavor experience, and end the season with Nawab Puri for the grand finale.

Quality
What does carbide-free mean?
Carbide-free means we never use calcium carbide (CaC2) — a harmful industrial chemical commonly used in Pakistan to artificially ripen mangoes in 24-48 hours. Carbide contains arsenic and phosphorus traces that can cause health issues. Our mangoes ripen naturally on the tree or through traditional methods like rice straw (piral) wrapping, which produces natural ethylene gas for safe, gradual ripening.
How do you ensure the mangoes are fresh?
Our mangoes go from tree to box within hours. We harvest at optimal maturity (not prematurely like market mangoes), quality-grade each mango by hand, pack in protective foam netting with ventilated boxes, and dispatch same-day. No cold storage, no warehousing, no middlemen. Your mangoes are as fresh as picking them yourself from the orchard.
What if mangoes arrive damaged or overripe?
We offer a freshness guarantee. If any mangoes arrive damaged, bruised, or overripe, take photos within 24 hours of delivery and share on WhatsApp (0300-9555810). We will send a replacement box at no additional cost — no questions asked. Customer satisfaction is our top priority.
Are your mangoes organic?
While we do not yet hold formal organic certification, our farming practices are very close to organic. We use minimal pesticides, no artificial ripening agents whatsoever, and our orchards rely primarily on natural soil fertility that Multan's alluvial plains provide. We are working towards organic certification for future seasons.
Pricing
How much does a box of mangoes cost?
Prices vary by variety. 5kg boxes range from PKR 2,150 (Langra) to PKR 2,650 (White Chaunsa Nawab Puri). 10kg boxes range from PKR 3,950 to PKR 4,750. These are base prices — bulk discounts are available for orders of 10+ boxes.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Yes! We offer tiered discounts: 5% off for 10-50 boxes, 10% off for 50-100 boxes, and custom enterprise pricing for 100+ boxes. Bulk orders are popular for corporate gifting, events, and family celebrations. Contact us on WhatsApp for a custom quote.
Are there any hidden charges?
No hidden charges. The price you see includes premium packaging with foam netting and cushioned boxes. Delivery is free on orders above PKR 5,000 to major cities. For smaller orders or remote areas, delivery charges are communicated upfront before order confirmation.
What are the corporate gifting rates?
Corporate rates depend on order size, variety, and customization needs. Our minimum corporate order is 10 boxes with 5% discount. For orders of 25+ boxes, we offer custom branding (company logo on boxes). For 100+ boxes, we provide enterprise-level pricing. Contact us for a detailed corporate quote.
Storage & Ripening
How should I store mangoes at home?
Keep unripe mangoes at room temperature (25-30 degrees Celsius) until they ripen — usually 1-3 days depending on variety. Once ripe, move them to the refrigerator (12-15 degrees Celsius) to extend freshness by 3-5 additional days. Never refrigerate unripe mangoes as cold temperatures stop the ripening process permanently.
How do I ripen mangoes faster?
Place mangoes in a paper bag with a banana or apple — these fruits release natural ethylene gas that speeds up ripening. Close the bag loosely and check daily. You can also wrap mangoes in newspaper. Avoid plastic bags as they trap moisture and can cause rot. At room temperature, most varieties ripen in 1-3 days.
How long do mangoes last?
Shelf life varies by variety: Anwar Ratol (3-5 days), Sindhri (4-6 days), 12 Number Ratol (4-6 days), Langra (5-7 days), White Chaunsa Mosami (5-7 days), and Nawab Puri (5-7 days). These are room temperature shelf lives — refrigeration after ripening extends life by 3-5 additional days.
Can I freeze mangoes for later?
Yes! Peel and cut ripe mangoes into cubes, spread on a tray lined with parchment paper, freeze for 2-3 hours, then transfer to freezer bags. Frozen mango cubes last 6-12 months and are perfect for smoothies, desserts, and mango kulfi. Note that texture changes after freezing, so frozen mangoes are best for blended preparations rather than eating fresh.
Gifting
Can I send mangoes as a gift to someone?
Yes! Mango gifting is one of our most popular services. Simply share the recipient's name, address, city, and phone number on WhatsApp. Choose the variety and box size, add a personal message for the free greeting card, and we handle the rest — premium packing and doorstep delivery. Perfect for birthdays, Eid, anniversaries, and more.
Can I include a custom message with the gift?
Absolutely! Every gift order includes a free personalized message card. Share your message on WhatsApp and we will write it on a beautiful card placed inside the mango box. Birthday wishes, Eid greetings, thank you notes — whatever you want to say, we make sure it is delivered with sweetness.
Do you offer corporate mango gifting?
Yes, corporate gifting is a major part of our business. We offer bulk pricing (10-100+ boxes), custom branded packaging with your company logo (25+ boxes), multi-address delivery for sending to employees and clients across Pakistan, and proper invoicing. Visit our corporate gifting page or contact us on WhatsApp for a corporate quote.
About MMA Farms
Where are your mango orchards located?
Our orchards are located in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan — known as the City of Mangoes. Multan's extreme summer heat (45 degrees Celsius+), ancient alluvial soil from the Chenab River, and over 4,000 years of mango cultivation tradition create the perfect conditions for growing the world's sweetest mangoes.
When is mango season in Pakistan?
Pakistan's mango season runs from mid-June to September. The first variety (Langra) arrives around June 15, followed by Sindhri, Anwar Ratol, White Chaunsa Mosami, 12 Number Ratol, and finally White Chaunsa Nawab Puri which closes the season in September. Each variety has its own peak window.
Who is behind MMA Farms?
MMA Farms is founded by Malik Muneeb Altaf, continuing a family tradition of mango cultivation in Multan. Our mission is simple — bring the authentic taste of Multan's orchards directly to mango lovers without chemicals, without middlemen, and without compromising on quality. Every box is a piece of our family's heritage.
How is MMA Farms different from buying mangoes at the market?
Three major differences: (1) 100% carbide-free — most market mangoes are artificially ripened with harmful chemicals. (2) Direct from farm — no middlemen, no fruit mandis, no days sitting in warehouses. (3) Quality-graded — every mango is hand-selected for size, ripeness, and flavor. Market mangoes are bulk-handled with no individual quality control. The taste difference is unmistakable.
